High team motivation- the easy way

The world is spinning a hundred times on its axis each day. It’s a dog-eat-dog world. Competition is fierce and it’s not getting any less fierce with each passing day. For a corporate set up to succeed, it has thus become imperative that the people of the set up take up their official challenges well. This again is only possible if the team is buckled up to the task. How do you think is that possible? Well, there might be various secondary and tertiary elements but the quintessential is high team motivation.

Importance of team motivation:

The dynamics of working world has shifted. Earlier, a whole group clung around the aura of its leader and it was more or less a one man show. Today, team dynamics drive performance, not to mention team motivation as well. Well! If the entire team does well, above expectations, and remains motivated for long then there is no doubt that the results would follow due to team motivation. How to keep the team motivated then? Is there a feasible way? Yes, of course. There always is away to drive team motivation.

Methods to instill team motivation

Team motivation method 1: Give a challenge; a point to focus. Without orientation, nothing works right, not even team motivation. There has to be a short term goal with regards to team motivation. An assimilation of short term goals give rise to a cumulative set up of aim. Without these small goals, you would never be able to see the full picture, leave alone realizing it. These day to day goals keep the focus intact and drive team motivation. There has to be a challenge which the team seeks and turns to team motivation to overcome the same. It is then that the effort of the collective and also individual targets comes into the picture and ensures a high level of team motivation.

Team motivation method 2: Assign responsibility. If you have to keep a team on its feet then bestow some responsibility to everyone from the unit. This way they feel a collective responsibility to do well and are drive by team motivation. When each knows that his fall may lead to the fall of the entire team, he or she will not take any chances. Time and again, the non-performing people of a team have shown a commendable rise in performances when provided with responsibility and fired with team motivation. Again, even the banal elements move out once cast out of the mold of responsibility.

Team motivation method 3: Give rewards. The world is still guided by greed; though greed is never good for a working firm, justly rewarding the people does matter, especially to build team motivation. People can work harder if they know that some reward is waiting for them at the tether’s end. They also may push the tether beyond their might. The idea is not to lure with disproportional bounties but offer simple rewards in equivalence to their workload and performance.

High team motivation can be attained. It’s just a matter of choosing the right methods to do it. Good organizations give this factor a lot of importance and reap the rewards that emanate from high team motivation.
